Job Summary

Kforce's client, a Florida-based family office, seeks a Chief Investment Officer to lead all aspects of their investment portfolio, primarily identifying and evaluating investment opportunities and managing existing ones. This leadership role involves structuring new investments, managing the portfolio, developing investor relationships, performing financial analyses, and overseeing deal processes including due diligence and legal document review. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of senior experience in finance, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication.

Must Have

  • Lead all aspects of the investment portfolio
  • Identify, structure, and recommend new investment opportunities
  • Manage the investment portfolio and review reports
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investors, banks, and financial advisors
  • Perform annual reviews and valuations for portfolio components
  • Manage deal processes, due diligence, market research, and legal document review
  • Perform investor communications
  • Interface with external legal, accounting, and financial consultants
  • Possess 10+ years of senior experience in family office, private equity, real estate, or banking
  • Hold a degree in Finance, Management or related field

Kforce's client, a well-established, Florida-based family office, seeks a Chief Investment Officer to lead all aspects of their investment portfolio, primarily identifying and evaluating investment opportunities and managing existing ones. This is a truly unique opportunity to join and lead a very successful organization in a visible leadership role that will take the firm into the next decade and beyond.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, structure, and recommend new investment opportunities
  • Manage the investment portfolio, reviewing reports and keeping partners up to date and informed
  • Develop new relationships with potential investors and maintain relationships with current investors
  • Manage relationships with banks and financial advisors
  • Perform annual reviews for portfolio components, including financial analyses and valuations for the Board
  • Manage the deal processes, including performing due diligence, market research, reviewing of legal documents while managing external deal team
  • Review legal documents as needed
  • Perform investor communications
  • Interface with the Firm's external resources including legal, accounting, and financial consultants

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Management or field; MBA highly preferred
  • 10 or more years of experience in family office, private equity, real estate, banking or related field, most recently serving in a very senior role
  • Outstanding financial analysis & modeling experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets, investment analysis and investor relations
  • Experience managing talented financial professionals and processes
  • Familiarity with legal documents such as Operating Agreements and Contracts
  • Elite communication and interpersonal skills
